Laz Manrique serves as VP/SBA Portfolio Manager at First Bank, where he oversees the administration and risk management functions of the bank’s SBA loan portfolio. Since joining First Bank in late September 2025, Laz has played a key role in ensuring the sound management, compliance, and ongoing performance of SBA relationships, supporting both customers and internal teams through expert portfolio oversight.

With 22 years of progressive banking experience, Laz brings a strong background across retail banking, business banking, SBA lending, and credit administration. Before joining First Bank, he built a consistent track record of portfolio growth, risk mitigation, and relationship development across multiple banking sectors. His diversified experience gives him deep insight into the full lending lifecycle and the unique needs of small business clients.

Laz holds a degree in Management and Marketing from Felician University in Rutherford, NJ, and has completed specialized banking training through the ABA Business and Commercial Lending Certification program.
